Marlborough Cottage, Devon

Holidaying at the Cottage

"Marlborough Cottage is situated on a quiet country lane perfect for exploring many areas of Devon and Dorset. We found the cottage to be a gem that catered for all our needs and was certainly well resourced. Quiet areas in the house and garden for those in our party needing a peaceful sanctuary to relax but plenty for our much younger explorers to stay entertained with the playhouse and 'secret' garden! A very steep staircase to contend with amongst low ceilings but we soon became used to these... what 16th century cottage would be without?! A thoroughly enjoyable stay, thank you." Mr and Mrs O'Donnell 14th Sep 2015

"Marlborough Cottage was an excellent opportunity to experience a well equipped and comfortable thatched cottage in a quiet, picturesque village location. We found it an excellent base to explore the region and come back to comfort and warmth." Garry, Canberra 14th May 2013

"A truly beautiful cottage in an idyllic setting. Fabulous facilities and stunning gardens. Perfect setting for Mum’s 60th celebration's. Loved by my 3 year old as much as by the rest of us. The Summer House and Toy shed were a real highlight! Didn’t want to leave!" T Thomas on 17th Sep 2012

"This cottage is perfect. Every little detail has been thought of. It feels like someone's home rather than a rental cottage. We have children and the cottage couldn't have been better kitted out for them. From the games shed to the plastic cups to the cot and high chair... The owner has thought of everything. Make sure to try the amazing bakery up the road..... Breakfast heaven." Noah 27th Jun 2015

"We had a most delightful week at Marlborough Cottage. The house was comfortable with everything we needed. The AGA (never experienced before) was interesting and fun to use. As for the garden - a real gem and so quiet! The countryside is quite beautiful and we had some delightful walks. Fish and chips at Lyme Regis is to be recommended!!" Mr M. Howle on 20th Jun 2015
