Marlborough cottage is very conveniently located, five minutes drive East will find you in the centre of the Seaside Victorian splendour that is Lyme Regis, great Mackerel fishing. Driving further along this coast road will bring you to Charmouth, Bridport, West Bay and Burton Bradstock, great restaurants and swimming. Heading West on the coast road from the cottage will take you to the clean pebbly beaches of Beer and Branscombe, there’s a fine lunch and a pint to be had in the local pubs after a swim or the famous Beer to Branscombe walk
Inland has a wealth of activities to offer too, Jacobean Houses, gorgeous gardens and new restaurants to experience. Brassica is once such place, a delicious new restaurant and homewares shop in Beaminster with rave reviews by The Observer, The Independent and the Good Food Guide for 2016, well worth booking. It’s a fine example of the high standard of Modern cooking with locally sourced produce available in the area.
